Dark ruby red, intense and lively with purple and violaceous notes

It’s aroma is characterized by hints of licorice root, cherry, blackberry, dark fruit, vegetable and herbaceous.

The taste is characterized at the beginning by a good combination between tannins and freshness and closes with a bitter note. Of an average taste persistence that is in evolution.

Served with: it is a wine  particularly suited for meals with fish.

Characteristics of the vineyards

Organic vineyards planted between 1970 and 2000 with 5,000 vines per hectare, grown using a runner system.

Ampelographic characteristics

Sangiovese (various clones, from Romagna with large grapes) 80%, Montepulciano 20%, produced as a mixed-grape variety wine.

Harvesting Period and Method

First week of September, harvested by hand,

Winemaking techniques

Fermentation at low-to-medium temperature and long maceration on the skins; then aged in steel vats for a period of 4 months, the first two on yeast.
